# Delete Your LARIA Account

If you wish to delete your LARIA account and associated data, please follow the steps below.

## How to Delete Your Account

### Option 1: Delete Account from Within the App

1. Open the LARIA app on your device
2. Go to **Settings** (accessible from the menu)
3. Navigate to **Account Settings** or **Profile**
4. Tap **Delete Account** or **Remove Account**
5. Confirm the deletion by entering your password or confirming your identity
6. Your account and data will be permanently deleted

### Option 2: Contact Us

If you're unable to delete your account through the app, please contact us:

Include the following information in your request:
- Your registered email address
- Your user ID (if available)
- Reason for account deletion (optional)

We will process your request within 30 days.

## What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your LARIA account, the following data will be **permanently deleted**:

- ✅ **Account Information**: Email address, user ID, authentication credentials
- ✅ **Profile Data**: Any profile information associated with your account
- ✅ **Chat History**: All conversation history stored locally on your device
- ✅ **User Preferences**: App settings and preferences
- ✅ **Authentication Tokens**: All authentication tokens and session data

## What Data May Be Retained

The following data may be **retained** for legal or operational purposes:

- 📋 **Aggregated Analytics**: Anonymous usage statistics (no personal identifiers)
- 📋 **Legal Records**: Data required to be retained by law or for legal compliance
- 📋 **Backup Data**: Data in encrypted backups may be retained for up to **90 days** before permanent deletion

## Data Retention Period

- **Immediate Deletion**: Account data, chat history, and personal information are deleted immediately upon account deletion
- **Backup Retention**: Encrypted backup data may be retained for up to **90 days** for disaster recovery purposes, after which it is permanently deleted
- **Legal Retention**: Any data required by law may be retained as required by applicable regulations

## Third-Party Services

Please note that deleting your LARIA account does not automatically delete your data from third-party services:

- **Google Account**: If you signed in with Google, you may need to revoke LARIA's access in your Google Account settings
- **Firebase**: Account deletion removes your data from Firebase Authentication, but you may need to separately manage your Google account

## After Account Deletion

- You will no longer be able to sign in to LARIA
- All your data will be permanently removed (subject to retention periods above)
- You can create a new account at any time, but previous data cannot be recovered
